Requirements: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Day-to-day duties: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
