Blocklayer — Bee County

Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Bee County, Texas. You will work on a busy housing site. The role involves: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
