Canteen cook — Montgomery County

Now hiring: we are hiring a canteen cook in Montgomery County, Texas. You will be based at a busy restaurant kitchen. On the job you will handle: • Cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes • Prepare the mise en place before each service What we are looking for: • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Strong knife skills and speed on the line • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards Full-time with occasional weekends.
