Great opportunity: we are hiring a furnace operator in Ivo, Ebonyi State. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings ₦285,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
