Garment presser • Kumbotso, Kano State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment presser in Kumbotso, Kano State. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Day-to-day duties: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
