Now hiring: commis chef (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a commis chef in Gateshead, England. Day to day you will keep the station clean and sanitised throughout the shift; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency; monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; prepare the mise en place before each service. You should have: • Strong knife skills and speed on the line • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. £2,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
