Vacancy available: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Huron County, Michigan. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. On a typical shift you will keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts. Requirements: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift.
