Your main tasks: • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Read lift plans and method statements before starting You should bring sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles; ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
