Now hiring: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Chelan County, Washington. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. What we are looking for: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler The role involves keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; season and marinate meat on request; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone.
