Catering cook — Franklin County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a catering cook in Franklin County, Illinois. You will work at a busy restaurant kitchen. The role involves: • Follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces • Marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases • Taste and adjust seasoning for consistency • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking Full-time with occasional weekends.
