Immediate opening: we are hiring a bricklayer in Kanam, Plateau State. Requirements: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day The role involves: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
