Finishing presser — Orange County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a finishing presser in Orange County, New York. You will be based in a busy laundry. The role involves keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; give each garment a final press before packing; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics. Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
