Abattoir worker • Ganjuwa, Bauchi State

Now hiring: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Ganjuwa, Bauchi State. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Day to day you will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
