Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Lamb County, Texas. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Meals and transport allowance provided.
