Great opportunity: we are hiring a line cook in Burnet County, Texas. You will be based in a catering banquet kitchen. Ideal candidate: • Strong knife skills and speed on the line • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking Day to day you will cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $3,800 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
