Site dozer operator • Champaign County, Illinois

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site dozer operator in Champaign County, Illinois. The job is at an open-cast mine. The role involves: • Operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear What we are looking for: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
