Meat trimmer wanted in Peoria County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Peoria County, Illinois. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. Ideal candidate: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling On a typical shift you will vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; season and marinate meat on request; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
