We are recruiting: we are hiring a pressman in Gateshead, England. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Day-to-day duties: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments We offer £3,000 per month plus benefits.
