We are recruiting: we are hiring a butcher in Hidalgo County, Texas. The job is at a halal meat counter. Your main tasks: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Season and marinate meat on request • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits.
