Crane operator — Kitsap County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane operator in Kitsap County, Washington. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Strong attention to safety and load limits • A good head for heights for tower crane work Day-to-day duties: • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
