Now hiring: we are hiring an oven operator in Whitman County, Washington. You will work at an in-store supermarket bakery. The role involves: • Score the top of loaves before baking • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them You should have: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
