Counter butcher — Adams County

Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Adams County, Nebraska. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You will weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
