Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Lee County, Texas. You will be based on a busy housing site. On a typical shift you will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
