Immediate opening: we are hiring a nursery worker in Sumter County, Georgia. You will be based in a botanical garden. What we are looking for: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors The role involves: • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease 2+ years on the tools preferred.
