Immediate opening: furniture maker (Niger State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furniture maker in Bida, Niger State. You should have: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Own basic hand tools • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience On the job you will handle: • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
