Urgent requirement: counter butcher (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a counter butcher in Prince William County, Virginia. The job is in a meat processing plant. You will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Part-time with flexible hours.
