Now hiring: we are hiring a sausage maker in Saint Clair County, Michigan. The job is in a meat processing plant. On the job you will handle: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled Requirements: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Six days a week, one day off.
