Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Eleme, Rivers State. Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Day-to-day duties: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
