Offshore rigger wanted in Ifo

Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Ifo, Ogun State. You will be based at a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Your main tasks: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
