Halal butcher — Cameron County

Now hiring: we are hiring a halal butcher in Cameron County, Texas. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day to day you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; season and marinate meat on request; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
