Now hiring: we are hiring a finishing plasterer in Brown County, Illinois. You will work on a commercial fit-out project. The role involves patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster; skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration; apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat; set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work; clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets; polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush. Ideal candidate: • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $2,700 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
