Finish carpenter • Ellis County, Texas

Immediate opening: we are hiring a finish carpenter in Ellis County, Texas. You will work on a residential housebuilding project. On a typical shift you will erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level. What we are looking for: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists 1+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
