Join our team: we are hiring a pastry baker in Cloud County, Kansas. The job is in a hotel pastry kitchen. Requirements: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Day-to-day duties: • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Score the top of loaves before baking • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
