Join our team: foundry operative (Rivers State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Omumma, Rivers State. On the job you will handle: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
