Now hiring: we are hiring a halal butcher in Accomack County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers The role involves mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
