Restoration bricklayer — Franklin County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Franklin County, Ohio. The role involves: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
