Urgent requirement: we are hiring a maintenance painter in Clark County, Illinois. You will be based on a residential building site. The role involves apply textured and weatherproof masonry coatings to exterior walls; measure up and work out paint and material quantities; fill cracks and nail holes with filler and caulk the gaps; prep and prime metal, treating rust with red-oxide primer; apply primer, undercoat and two topcoats with brush and roller; sand and fill walls before applying primer. Ideal candidate: • A good eye for clean lines and an even finish • Sound knowledge of surface prep and the right primers • Able to read colour schedules and follow a finish spec At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
