Now hiring: we are hiring a cook in Castro County, Texas. On a typical shift you will chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
