Gantry crane operator wanted in Sumter County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Sumter County, Florida. Requirements: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Understanding of hand and radio signals The role involves: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift Full-time, day shift.
