Immediate opening: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Trinity County, California. The job is at an open-cast mine. Day to day you will follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site. Requirements: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant Six days a week, one day off.
