Now hiring: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Kitsap County, Washington. The job is at a drainage and utilities contractor. What we are looking for: • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites The role involves: • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers Rotating shifts.
