Vacancy available: we are hiring a commis chef in Monroe County, Alabama. The job is in a catering banquet kitchen. Ideal candidate: • Strong knife skills and speed on the line • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays On the job you will handle: • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch • Monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down We offer $31 per hour plus benefits.
