Immediate opening: we are hiring a nursery worker in Orange County, New York. Requirements: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Valid driving licence for travel between sites Day-to-day duties: • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste Rotating shifts.
