The role involves adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); load and index turning tools in the turret; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; write and edit G-code programs at the control. Requirements: • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
