Great opportunity: hand presser (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a hand presser in Travis County, Texas. You will work at a dry cleaner's. Day to day you will press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number. What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings We offer $20 per hour plus benefits. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
