On a typical shift you will lay table covers with cutlery, napkins, glassware and crockery; explain the day's specials and recommend dishes; take food and drink orders on the POS terminal or order pad; polish glasses, cutlery and crockery during mise en place; handle guest complaints and escalate to the captain or manager; check back during the meal and handle special requests.
