Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Ashtabula County, Ohio. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits.
