Requirements: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection Day-to-day duties: • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet Rotating shifts.
