Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Cornwall, England. The job is in customers' homes and kitchens. Day to day you will fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply. Ideal candidate: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
