Trowel-trade bricklayer • Refugio County, Texas

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Refugio County, Texas. The job is at a groundworks and structures site. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools On a typical shift you will bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
